Today 05 November 2019, one of the best days of my life!! Mr Al Rashedy operated on me on the 03 October and this morning was my post op review. I was delighted with this gentle and personable man when he explained everything to my husband and I prior to my surgery. Seeing him again today has confirmed that I had not 'imagined' him. Mr Rashedy explained the entire procedure and how I should continue to look after myself. He has a way of addressing one that gives immediate confidence together with language that a non medical understands. He is the 'crème de la creme' and a great asset to Watford General Hospital together with his team.

Admitted 1130am on Sunday, surgery at 0300am, discharged Tuesday. The Whole experience was very positive, not only was I fully informed I was included in the decision making for my treatment and care. The kindness, gentle humour and care from all levels of the team was wonderful. As a former Senior A&E Sister I was very impressed with the clinical acumen and care I received.

We are so grateful to Mr Rashidi for his care and continued support and concern regarding our child. Due to our son's medical condition we found ourselves in serious emergency situations more than once and Mr Rashidi always went over and beyond his duty of care in ensuring we were informed and supported. Even after our son was transferred to another hospital he continued to be available to us for advice and reassurance we have always felt mr Rashidi was not simply doing his job but genuinely cared about our son and also how we were coping we cannot thank him enough.

I was under the care of Mr Alrashedy at Macclesfield hospital in 2015. When I met him in clinic for the first time I instantly felt safe and confident that he would help me get better. I had been in tremendous pain for some time. He was very thorough with my medical history which is very complex, due to alot of surgery. He listened to me with empathy. He tried everything at first to avoid more surgery with alternative treatments. When the surgery took place by another consultant, sadly the next day I was rushed back to AE with heavy bleeding. I was relieved to see Mr Alrashedy was the Doctor that day, he acted assertively and professionally explaining we need to go to theatre again. I felt complete confidence and reasurrance that I was in this Doctors hands. Not only is he knowledgable in his work he's good with people. I could see how he connects with staff in the hospital and plays an essential part of the team. Most of all he has compassion, enthusiasm and is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is a credit to the NHS. To be honest I have no need to suggest any improvements where Mr Alrashedy could give greater care. He puts his heart and soul into his work.
